Blackberry Manager 4.1
Setting an Activation password for a new Blackberry user
Login to the BES server
Open
Blackberry Manager
Click
Blackberry
in the top left corner
Click
Add Users
in the bottom right corner
The select mailbox menu will appear, search for the user name in the list
Once found, click the user name so it becomes highlighted and the
Select
button and then click
OK
Right click the user name near the middle of the screen and choose
Set Activation Password
Type in a simple Blackberry activation password/activation time and click
OK

Login to the BES Server
Open Blackberry Admin Service
Click the minus sign beside
user
on the left
Click
Create User
Click
Add user from company directory
Type in the user's email address that needs activation
Click
Setup user with activation password
Set password/activation time and click
OK
Setting an Activation password for an existing Blackberry user
Login to the BES Server
Open Blackberry Admin Service
Click the
manage users
Click User Name
Scroll down with mouse wheel and click
Specify an activation password
Set the password and click
OK
If Enterprise Activation dosen't show up on screen but you have a BES account, do the following:
Go to
Options
Go to
Advanced Options
Go to
Host Routing Table
Click the Menu button and choose
Register.
The
Enterprise Activation
option will now appear in the proper location.
